A topic you feel it should be added to this course because of its importance to digital media

I found that this course greatly helped me to understand a lot of basic digital media tools and topics. If I could make a recommendation, however, it would be to make a modification to the curriculum taught. I have two suggestions.
A.) Students were asked to perform functions using applications that require payment. However, there was very little taught on these applications which made the purchases (or torrenting effort) seem somewhat wasteful. Applications like Photoshop and Adobe Premier are somewhat expensive for most students. They also require a subscription which will charge students for every extra month they may forget to cancel. In order to warrant the price paid for the program, and for the course, I would place more importance on providing more in-depth learning resources on these tools.
B.) If the professor feels that the knowledge provided was adequate and would rather focus less on the programs that students paid for: please provide the option to use free programs as well as similar tutorials for students who could not afford the original programs. Programs such as Gimp provide some of the tools that Photoshop has available. I understand not all of the tools can be found on free art software but it would be nice to see other alternatives in place to help students that aren’t as financially well off. If there is no applicable substitute for a Photoshop tool, please allow students the option to simply watch a tutorial rather than subscribing to the software. Thank you for your consideration.
